![]() ![]() Based on this signature design cue, the Zenith Chronomaster Sport brought back the silver, grey and blue overlapping sub-dials, as well as the sharp, faceted applied hour markers, which were all first seen on the 1969 watches. ![]() There are things however that must not change, and that is typically the case of the tri-colour dial, one of the most emblematic elements of El Primero watches. More technical, more contrasted and slightly sportier, it made the Chronomaster enter a new category of watches. It indeed comes with a black ceramic bezel featuring the 1/10th of a second graduation, a unique bezel typology for chronographs, differing from the more common tachymeter scales. Compared to previous iterations of the Chronomaster, the main difference is the bezel – an element that drastically changes the overall look of the watch, making it far more modern. This new Chronomaster Sport is a fresh and sharper new look for a collection that has spawned numerous versions and generations since it was originally presented at the 1994 Basel watch fair. ![]() The Zenith Chronomaster Sport in rose gold is now available exclusively at Sincere Fine Watches and on early 2021, Zenith introduced a new vision of its legendary El Primero chronograph that made a lot of noise, being extremely well received by both the press and watch enthusiasts – us included. Its overall form and finish have also been modernised with a new, more open architecture, complete with a blue column wheel and open rotor marked with the five-pointed Zenith star motif. Pushing its acclaimed performance even higher, Zenith is able to precisely offer a 1/10th of second display from the 5 Hz (36’000 VpH) escapement, as well as an extended power reserve of 60 hours. The result of over fifty years of constant innovation and improvement, the Chronomaster Sport is equipped with the latest version of the Manufacture’s most renowned movement, dubbed the El Primero 3600 calibre. A black calfskin strap completes the look by allowing the case and bezel to stand out even more with a rose gold folding buckle. The white lacquered dial features the iconic tri-color chronograph counters in shades of rhodium, anthracite and blue, while the hands and applied markers features the gold and black palette. The polished black ceramic bezel is engraved with 1/10th of a second scale, filled with matte gold lacquer matching the case and dial for a bold contrast and exceptional legibility of the fractional elapsed time display on the bezel.
